EDWIN L. ALLEN
Edwin LaVern Allen, 77, of Pleasant Hill, died of a heart ailment there May 5, 1996. Services were held May 9 at Murray Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial in Union Cemetery in
Clarke County.

Mr. Allen was born in Clarke County and had lived in Murray most of his life until moving to the
Des Moines area in 1984. He had worked in the plumbing and heating busienss for 40 years and was a member of Surprise Lodge and Prize chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Larry of Ames; a daughter, Patricia Burkey of Des Moines; a stepbrother, Ross Wetzel, and a stepsister, Marie Welker, both of Murray; and six grandchildren.
