Wynona Maxine Burchett, daughter of Willis and Nellie Sears Lee was born May 11, 1919 in Clarke Co, IA and departed this life January 7, 1989 at her home in Murray, IA at the age of 69 years 7 months and 26 days.
She received her education in the Murray Schools and was united in marriage at the Christian Church Parrsonage in Osceola, IA. Two daughters were born to this union; Myrna and Kay.

Wynona lived all of her adult life in the Murray Community. She and her husband Carl farmed south of Murray all of her married life; after he passed away in 1960 she graduated from Americana Beauty School as a Cosmetologist and opened a shop in her home in 1961. She continued this business until retirement in 1981.

She loved to work in the garden and especially enjoyed arts and crafts. Her most enjoyable times were spent with all of her grandchildren.

Wynona was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her two daughters, Myrna Simmerman and husband George of Murray, IA, Marna Kay Gamble and husband Merlin of Des Moines, IA; 8 grandchildren, Tony Simmerman, Kelly Simmerman of Murray, IA, Tracy Simmerman and wife Kathy of Osceola, IA, Carla Sorrels of Murray, IA, Jodee Eckels and husband Mike of Thayer, IA, Kim Nelson and husband Brian of Altoona, Karen Leighter and husband Scott of Des Moines, IA, Kristy Gamble of Des Moines, IA; 3 sisters, Lois Raynor of Des, Moines, IA, Thelma Richard of El Cajon, CA, Donna Criddle of Seattle, WA, as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
