Funeral services were held in Osceola last Wednesday for Marion L. Millsap, 52, of rural Osceola. He died at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on December as a result of a farm accident.
Marion Leroy Millsap was born March 9, 1922, the son of Hiram and Cora Rupe Millsap. He graduated from Mt. Ayr High School and was married to Helen Louise Longcoy at Tingley on December 8, 1943.
A farmer, Mr. Millsap was a veteran of WW II and a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Louise and four sons, Steve Millsap of West Des Moines, Keith Millsap of Winterset, Ronald Millsap of Ottumwa, and Randy Millsap at home.
Other survivors include his parents; two grandsons; a brother, Clarence Millsap of Des Moines, and a sister Opal Davenport of Mt. Ayr.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. last Wednesday, December 18 at the First Christian Church at Osceola, with the Rev. Don Zumwaldt and Rev. Richard Hespetius officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
