Graveside service for Marvin Rainthorpe of Roswell, New Mexico, was held Monday, January 26 [1981]. Rev. George Neal officiated the 1:00 p.m. service from the Maple Hill Cemetery. Rainthorpe died at the St. Mary's Hospital in Roswell, Wednesday, January 21.

Marvin Rainthorpe, 80, was born in Clarke County, Iowa July 16, 1900, the son of Joseph C. and Victoria Rainthorpe. He was united in marriage to Alta Shellhart in Creston, Iowa July 3, 1969. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Osceola.

He is survived by his wife, Alta of Roswell; and sister, Bernice Holt of Lucas.
