Osceola rites held for former resident, Willis L. Leeson.

Services were Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola for retired Farmers Home Administrator director, Willis Leonard Leeson of St. Joseph, Mo., who died Jan. 20, 1991, at Heartland West in St. Joseph. He was 86. The Rev. Neville Clayton officiated at the 10 a.m. service. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery at Osceola.

Mr. Leeson was born May 22, 1904. He received his education in the Clarke County schools. He married Faye Swabb on May 1, 1938, at Osceola. The couple were the parents of four children. Mr. Leeson lived most of his life in the Osceola area, moving in the last 15 months to St. Joseph. He was a past member of the Osceola Lion's Club and a member of the First Christian Church in Osceola.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Leeson.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Leeson of St. Joseph; two daughters, Mary Appleton of Sacramento, California, and Joyce Schutte and her husband, Wayne, of St. Joseph; two sons, Dale Leeson of Seattle, Washington and Stan Leeson and his wife, Ruth, of St. Paul, Minnesota; two brothers, Dwight Leeson and his wife, Virginia of Osceola and Alfred Leeson and his wife, Gladys of Woodburn and eight grandchildren.
