Mrs. John Sleede, who has been with her husband at the Soldiers’ Home in Marshalltown for the past two years, died at that institution last week, and the remains were brought to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Bierce, in Monroe township for burial.

Mrs. Slead, formerly a resident of Monroe township, this county, died on last Wednesday at Marshalltown, where she and Mr. Slead were spending the winter at the soldiers’ home. Her remains were brought to the home of Mrs. Henry Bierce, a niece, and burial made at Union Chapel, in Clarke county on Sunday. Mrs. Lease, of this place, is a sister of the deceased and attended the funeral.
