Looking for information on John Nugent Sr. Married to Catherine Nugent. Listed on Chickasaw County Federal Census in 1870 Living in Jacksonville Township with son John age 2 and Arthur age 3. John Sr. is Listed as farmer. born in Ireland.
On 1880 Census the family shows John Sr,Catharin (wife) and children John Jr, D.Arthur, Catharin, Joseph and Sarah. in Jacksonville, Chickasaw IA.

I belive John Jr. was born Oct, 1867 and married to Carrie Thompson Nugent. The New Hampton, Chickasaw County IA census for 1900 shows John & Carrie Nugent with children: Mamie, Katie, Johnnie, Henry and Alfred. Alfred Nugent is my husband Dennis Nugents' father. Later John and his family moved to MN and had additional children: Grace, Russell and Mabel Nugent.
