Kenneth McGregor Succumbs
Services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the First United Methodist church in Nashua for Kenneth P. McGregor, 71, who died Saturday at the Charles City hospital. Pastor Robert Lemmermann officiated, and burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Lenos Connor was organist and Lynn Edson was soloist. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Neva Bond and Mrs. Mary Edson. Casketbearers were Harold Barlow, Merle Graeser, Vearl Edson, Richard Nicholson, Claude Colburn and Virgil Diesburg.
Survivors include his wife, Octavia, three sons: Malcolm and Ronald, both of the Nashua vicinity; and Harold of Wadena, Mn; There are 14 grandchildren.
Kenneth Perry McGregor was born in Floyd county December 20, 1903, the son of Malcolm and Grace Ferguson McGregor. He was a member of the United Methodist church of Nashua. He graduated from Nashua high school and later from the Mankato (Mn.) Business College. He married Florence Wilcox in 1927 and to this union his three sons were born. He was engaged in farming on an impressive scale and in livestock feeding on an equally gigantic scale. At one time, he had as many as 1800 cattle on feed at one time, in 26 pastures from here to Osage. His wife, Florence, died in 1946. In 1948, he married Octavia Askegaard. His parents, two brothers, J. Malcolm and Rex, and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Jordan preceded him.
