Information on William Dawes and descendants

Has anyone got any information on a William Dawes, or his descendants? Believed to have emigrated from Derbyshire,UK after 1861 and possibly with his daughter. There is a William Dawes (widower) shown on the 1880 US Federal census living in New Hampton, aged 76 living with an Abigail S. Powers (possibly step daughter?) and a Lizzie Michler (born in Germany and listed as a servant).

I believe a member of the Latter Day Saints has researched his children born in the UK, as information on them appears on the LDS website. According to that research the records were submitted by a member of the LDS church, which leads us to believe that William still has descendants living in the US.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
