Saturday Rites For Mrs. Roths

Last rites for Mrs. Susan Roths, 94, of New Hampton, were at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, from St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia.

The Rev. Joseph Heineman officiated with interment at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Leo Herzog of Mason City, Clarence Shinstine of Waterloo, A.J. Schnurr, Ed Krueger, Lawrence Roths Sr., and Elmer Peters.

Larkin-Martin Funeral Service had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roths, who had resided at the New Hampton Care Center, died Thursday, August 7, at Saint Joseph Community Hospital.

Susan Peters was born March 15, 1875 in Chickasaw County, the daughter of Nicholas and Lena (Derga) Peters. She was married to Theodore Roths, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters Mrs. Brian Conley of Nashua, and Mrs. Gerald Clark of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Carl and Charles, both of New Hampton; eleven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Brannon of Waterloo.

Last Rites For Mrs. Roths Held Saturday

Mrs. Susan Roths, 94, of New Hampton died Thursday, August 7, at Saint Joseph Community Hospital, New Hampton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Roths were at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9 from St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia, with burial at the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Roths is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Brian Conley of Nashua and Mrs. Gerald Clark of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Carl and Charles both of New Hampton; eleven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Brannon of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Roths.
