Mrs. C. A. Quaife Dead.
Mrs. C. A. Quaife died at her home south of Ionia on Friday evening after an illness of 72 days of pluro-pneumonia. During her sickness she was a great sufferer, but she bore her pain uncomplainingly.
She was a woman beloved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed in the home from which she has been called. Besides the husband eight children are left to mourn her departure. They are Charles, Harry, Elvin, Elsie, Fannie, and Bessie of Ionia, Walter of Minnesota, Arthur, of Kansas.
The funeral was held from the M. E. church in Ionia on Sunday and the interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Mr. Quaife had two wives but the one with eight children was Alice who was born Sept. 14, 1856 and died June 23, 1905. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. His second wife was Lydia and she was born Sept. 28, 1857 and died May 15, 1931.She is buried in the North Cemetery in Lawler.
