OBITUARY.

NOCKELS - At the home of his brother, P. P. Nockels at Alta Vista Thursday,_March 14, Joseph Bernard Nockels, of pneumonia, aged 20 years.

Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nockels of Calmar, but has for the past year lived with his brother at Alta Vista.

Joe was a fine, genial, young man, who less than two weeks ago was the personification of health and youth and that the hand of death should slay him is sad indeed. His illness began with a severe cold and developed into pneumonia. Three doctors were caring for him, a trained nurse from Minneapolis was in constant attendance and all that loving hands could do was done, hoping that youth would win in the battle for life, but his work was ended and he fell quietly to sleep. His father, mother and brothers wars with him when the end came.

The remains were taken to Calmar where the funeral was held Sunday and we are informed by one who was In attendance that it was the largest funeral ever held in that place. Many beautiful floral tributes were sent from this city. We extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
