Obituary.

DIED — At the home in, this city, on Friday afternoon, November 9, 1900, Michael Nye, of jaundice, aged 63 years.

Deceased was born in Paris, France in 1836; came to the United States in 1868, and in 1876 was married at Glen Haven, Wisconsin, to Mrs. George Underwood. In 1882 he and his family came to New Hampton which has ever since been the home. He is survived by his wife, and daughter, Miss Lizzie Nye, and by his stepchildren, Mrs. J. H. Zimmerman, Mrs. Jasper Kuhn, of New Hampton, Mrs. Frank Stamm of Waterloo, and George Underwood of Duluth, Minnesota.

Michael Nye was an honest, hard working man; quiet and unostentatious in his daily life; kind and thoughtful of his family and friends. By his industry and frugality he accumulated enough to own his home and seven small tracts of land near this city. To those who knew him best, his death comes as as a deep and irreparable loss.

The funeral was held Monday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church, and interment took place in the parish cemetery.
