Obituary.

Andrew Michael was born in Augusta county West Virginia, February 12, 1820, and died at his home near Bassett, Iowa, September 24, 1900, being 80 years, 7 months and 12 days old.

He moved from West Virginia when about fifteen years of age, since which time his home had been in the middle and western states, forty-five years having been spent in norheastern Iowa. His life companion preceded him to the spirit world some six years ago. Four daughters and two sons are left to mourn their loss. All were present, except one daughter, at the last sickness and death of their father.

His confidence and faith in God were manifest in his life and also in his death. He often expressed the wish to go. The sympathy of a sorrowing community is extended to the family.

The funeral was conducted at the house on the 26th by Rev. C. E. Sheldon. Text, Philippians 1:23.
