DEATH OF A FORMER RESIDENT.

Mrs. Theresa Spaulding Formerly of this Place Dles at Charles City.

Tho death of Mrs. Spaulding Wednesday evening, Oct. ]8, was the result of heart failure and failure to recover from the shock of a severe surgical operation says the Charles City Citizen. She had been in poor health for some time, suffering from blood poisoning caused by a large internal abcess, for the removal of which the operation became imperative. The operation was successful in every way, and she rallied from the shock of it, but did not have the strength to hold up. When the collapse came it was swift.

The death of this estimable woman is a peculiarly sad one, and will be deeply regretted by all who know her. She leaves four daughters to mourn her death. They are Mrs J. 0. Baker, who a few weeks ago removed from this City to Houston, Texas, Mrs. Ed Wuestholf, of Waterloo, and misses Hattie and Marie, who resided at home with their mother. Mr. Spaulding died nine months ago.

Mrs. Spaulding will be taken to Nashua for burial, where they reside for a good many years. Thee funeral will bE hold Sunday morning.
