SUDDEN DEATH OF BLISS PROCTOR.
Young StudEnt Drops Dead of Heart Disease Thursday.

Thursday evening at six o'clock Bliss Proctor a student in the New Hampton Normal School, dropped dead from an attack of heart disease near the Burch home on Pleasant Hill. In company with other students he had gone to the woods for wild flowers and was in apparent good health. On their return he complained of feeling sick to his stomach and had stopped to rest when, without warning he fell over dead. His body was taken into Mr Burch's house and his parents who reside at Williamstown were notified.

Deceased was the son of Mr and Mrs. E. W Proctor of Williamstown. He was born where his parents now reside August 30,1880 and was therefore nearly 21 years old at the time of his death.

The trouble with which he died developed early in life and he had always been careful of his health. He has been a student at the Commercial school for some time and had shown himself a reliable, conscientious worker in his classes. The high esteem in which he was held was manifest in the sorrow of both teachers and students at his death.
His entire class attended the funeral in a body and others of the students were also present.

Deceased was a social member of the M W.A. , not being eligible as a beneficiary. His own camp and representatives from New Hampton and Fredericksburg lodges attended the funeral in a body, about forty Woodmen going down from this place.

The funeral was held at the Proctor home near Williamstown and was largely attended by friends and neighbors among whom he was much beloved and were filled with sorrow at his sudden and untimely death. Rev Lease preached the funeral sermon and his body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.

The floral offerings were many and beautiful, typical of the young man who had passed away.
