FREDERICKSBURG - Raymond Wilson, 88, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton of natural causes.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton with Reverend Kevin Frey officiating. Edith Kolthoff was the organist and accompanied those in attendance singing "Amazing Grace" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus"

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemeteiy, Fredericksburg with Gary Onm, Joe Steciw, Steve Goebel, Brian Goebel, Terry Slick and Mike Wilson serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers were Dave Wilson, Jim Wilson, Randy Boehm-er, Rick Boehmer, Jeremy Slick, Dan Slick, Sue Boehmer, Sharyl Goyke, Jacki Andera, Amy Laures and Jeanna Mc-Gaughlin.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 .m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 at onway Funeral Home, New Hampton and also an hour prior to services.

Raymond Woodrow Wilson was born June 27, 1912 in Chickasaw County, the son of Irvin and Nellie (Eastland) Wilson. He attended country school near his home. On Aug. 27, 1938 he was united in marriage to Marian Harnisch at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. Following their marriage, the couple resided with his parents and then lived on several farms in the Fredericksburg area until 1973, when the couple moved to New Hampton. Ray moved back to Fredericksburg in 1991 and had been a resident of Colonial Manor, Elma since 1999.

Survivors include one son Roger (Diane) Wilson, Elma; four daughters, Joan (Mike) Mitchell, Elma; Judy (Rome) Steciw, Coralville; Kathy (Kenny) Goebel, New Hampton and Vicki (Eddie) Slick, Ionia; 17 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one brother, Cecil, Fredericksburg.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Marian on Feb. 9, 1991; one daughter, Jeanne; two sisters, Isabel and Dorothy and two brothers, Donald and one in infancy.
