FREDERICKSBURG
Ralph M. Saueressig, 85, Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Sunrise Guest Home in Fredericksburg of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 at Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg.
Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
Visitation was from 4-7 p. m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at Chaenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Fredericksburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Ralph M. Saueressig was born Jan. 2,1915 at Monona, the son of Henry and Regina (Pries) Saueressig. He attended the Waverly Consolidated Schools in Waverly, NE through the eighth grade. On Sept. 21,1941, he married Clara Ella Maser at Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg. Ralph farmed southeast of Fredericksburg from 1938 until his retirement. He served with the U.S. Army Coast Artillery during 1941-1942.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Dale Miller, Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Clara on Aug. 12, 1980; his parents; one sister, Mary Muchow; two brothers, Kenneth Saueressig and Edwin Saueressig.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
