FREDERICKSBURG - Doris J. Pearson, 69, passed away on Thursday, April 6 at her home in Fredericksburg of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10 at Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg with Pastor Laura Hucke officiating. Music was provided by Eleanor Harkrader as organist and accompanied the congregation singing "Amazing Grace". Roger Hucke was, vocalist and sang "Bridge Over Troubled Waters".

Burial was in Preston Cemetery in Preston on Monday afternoon with Joseph Bor-mann, Brandon Pearson, Matthew Bormann, Phillip Bor-mann, Charlie Bormann and Benjamin Bormann serving as casketbearers.

Visitation was held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 9 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Fredericksburg and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.

Doris Janet Pearson was born May 24, 1930 at Weatherford, OK the daughter of Eugene Charles and Adeline (Golden) Weathersbee. Doris spent her early childhood in Beeville, TX.

Doris married Louis Pearson on Jan. 27, 1947 in Texas. To this union seven children were born. Doris became a cosmetologist and worked in her trade until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Gwen Bormann, Patricia Walls and Tammy Pearson, all of Fredericksburg; three sons, Robert Pearson, Pasco, WA, Eddie Pearson, Liberty, TX and Roger Pearson, Arriba, CO; 30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Adeline Weathersbee, Las Cruces, NM; and one sister, Bobby Jean Hatch, Las Cruces, NM.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Louis, on May 15, 1988; one son, Jerry Pearson on March 21, 1986; her father, Charles Weathersbee; and one brother, Charles "Sonny" Weathersbee in 1957.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
