ALTA VISTA - Frank Morson, 86, New Prague, MN, a former Alta Vista businessman, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 27 at the Catholic Church in Kasson, MN, his former home.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Francis L. (Frank) Morson was born Dec. 11, 1914 in Williams, where he received his education. He was united in marriage to Eva Thielen on Nov. 24, 1951. The Morsons came to Alta Vista from Mason City in 1954 and purchased the former Nehl Hardware Store, continuing to operate it until 1968 when they sold the business and moved to Kasson, MN. They operated a hardware store in Kasson until their retirement. Active in community affairs in Alta Vista, Frank was a member and former Commander of the VFW, a member of the Commercial Club, Volunteer Fire Dept, and St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Eva; four children, Michael, North Carolina, Leone and Jeffrey, Pryor Lake, MN and Gregory, Texas; grandchildren.
