NEW HAMPTON ~ Myla Mae Moetsch, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Congregational United Church of Christ, New Hampton with Pastor Mary Hatch presiding. Gerald Bailey will be organist and accompany vocalists Peter and Phyllis Willadsen as they sing: "Ivory Palaces" and "O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee".

Interment will be in New Hampton Cemetery with Scott, David and Roger Anderson, Joe Raymond, Lester Glaser and Larry Pitzenberger serving as casket bearers.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton and also an hour before service time at the church.

Myla Mae was born April 13, 1911 in Monona, the daughter of Frank and Mila Belle (Russell) Henderson. She attended school in Monona and after the family moved to New Hampton, she graduated from New Hampton High School. Myla worked as a secretary in Dubuque, Des Moines and New Hampton. She married Glenn Moetsch Sept. 19,1936 in Mason City. They lived all their married life in New Hampton. Myla was a member of the Congregational Church and a founding board member of the New Hampton Senior Citizens Organization.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Anderson, Lawler; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Moetsch, New Hampton.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Glenn, on Nov. 15, 1977.
