IONIA -- Catherine M. Miller, 69, died Saturday, April 22 at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton, of natural causes.

Private funeral services were held Monday, April 24 at Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton.

Burial was in St. Boniface Cemetery, Ionia

There was no public visitation.

Catherine was born Dec. 25, 1930 near Plainfield, the daughter of Florence and Frances (Laube) Harrington. She attended school in Plainfield and graduated from Nashua High School.

On May 21,1956 she married Jerome Miller at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Nashua. The couple lived on a farm near Ionia for a brief period before moving into Ionia around 1960. Mrs. Miller did babysitting for many family members and people living in Ionia. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Ionia. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Miller (Sherry), Ionia and Rick Miller, Charles City; three grandchildren, Christy Pierce, Chantelle Miller and Jared Miller; two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Harrington, Nashua and Paul Harrington, Ionia; and five sisters, Eileen (Clark) Zwanziger and Rosemary (Virgil) Zwanziger, all of Nashua, Delores (Bill) Zwanziger, Ionia, Alice (Francis) Klaussen, New Hampton and Theresa Harrington, Ionia.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jerome, on Nov. 16, 1972 and three brothers, Richard, Norbert and James Harrington.
