Funeral services for Marjorie Lillibridge of Tuscon, AZ formerly of New Hampton were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January I5 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hampton. The Rev. Carl Schmitt officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton. Pall bearers were: Wally Murphy, Steve Geerts, Bill Weigel, Norb Steffen and Ray Klenske. Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Marjorie, 74, died Monday, January 9, 2000 at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in Tuscon, AZ.

Marjorie J. Lillibridge was born in New Hampton the daughter of Leverett and Rose (Siegel) Lillibridge. She attended school at St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from the New Hampton High School in 1943. Following graduation, Marjorie worked ten years with the FBI in Washington, D.C., New York, NY and New Orleans, LA. From 1953 to 1955 she was a civilian employee of the U.S. Army in Japan and Korea and then worked for the Association for International Development in Paraguay and Liberia. From 1957 to 1962, Marjorie was secretary to the author, Frances Parkinson Keyes. Marjorie moved to Tuscon in 1963 and worked for Glacier National Park and the Tuscon School System retiring in 1991.

She was a member of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Tuscon.

Survivors include one brother William of Iowa City; two sisters: June Kamatz of Bentonville, AK, and Doris Heifter of Grand Junction, CO.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents.
