John Augustine, who moved from Nashua to Charles City lest April, passed away at his home in that city last Thursday after a six weeks' illness from Bright's disease.

He was born Nov. I, 1868, at Cole, Missouri. In 1897 he was married to Miss Ida Hoge at Lowel, Ohio, and they came to Iowa in 1900. To this union six children were born, Etheila, Ernest, Floyd, Vernon, Ellis and Cecil.

He joined the Methodist church in 1898 but has not attended church of late years on account of sickness. He leaves to mourn his Ion besides the children named, a widow, a father, three brothers and three sisters.

The body was brought to Nashua Sunday and the I funeral was held In the Methodist churoh at 1 p.m., Rev. Will Kirwin officiating. Interment was In Greenwood cemetery.
