Arlys L. "Mickey" Demro, 72

NASHUA - Arlys "Mickey" Demro died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN following surgery.

Memorial services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 at St. John Lutheran Church, Nashua, with Rev. Dane and Rev. Joann Kramer officiating.

Arlys "Mickey" was born in Woden on July 6, 1928, the daughter of Helmeth and Bertha (Davis) Lundgren. She attended and received her education at Woden ahd Crystal Lake schools and graduated in 1944. She attended Allen Memorial School of Nursing, Waterloo. She married Stuart A. Demro on Dec. 24, 1952 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. To this union three daughters were born. She worked for Dr.'s Clark, Toliver and Trefz until her retirement in 1990. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Nashua, Hospice, Nashua Town and Country Club and received the Charles City "Citizen Award of Merit" in 1983. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge, wood carving, traveling anD spending time with her friends and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Stuart; three daughters, Mary (Steve) Nicholson, Osage; Paula (Steve) Woodin, Des Moines; Carol (Daryl) Powell, Incline Village, NV; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Trudy (Bill) Greene, Wesley; Phyllis Schmidt, Waverly; Pat (Gerald) Hill, Ramona, CA and Jean (Peter) Wolff, Melborne Beach, FL; one brother, Ron Lundgren, Medford, OR and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
