Services held for Beatrice Boehmer, 89
Beatrice M. Boehmer,89 of New Hampton, died of congestive heart failure Saturday, May 13, 2000 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 16, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Alta Vista with Rev. Roger Rethamel presiding. Interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery also in Alta Vista.Beatrice Matilda Boehmer was born June 2, 1910 at St. Cecelia, the daughter of William and Lena (Blaska) Roethler. She was married to Walter J. Boehmer May 15, 1928 at St. Bernard’s Church, Alta Vista. Following their marriage, they farmed near Lawler, New Hampton and later near Alta Vista. Beatrice moved to Pleasant Manor in New Hampton in February of 1984.
Beatrice is survived by two daughters, Elaine Deutsch (Maurice) of Ionia, Louise Conry (Maurie) of Greene; one son, Wally (Philomena) of Alta Vista; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters; Leona Arndt of Charles City, Clara Yearling and Marion Elesfrud, both of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1971; three grandsons; Bernard Deutsch 1969, Jason Conry 1970 and James Conry 1980; a great-grandson, Ben Qualley 1993; two brothers:. Alfred and Joe Roethler; four sisters: Carrie Markle, Frances Logan, Gladys Hartson and Alice Roethler.
