NEW HAMPTON, IOWA - Word has been received of the death of Beverly Bellinger, 80.

No services are planned. Charter Funerals, Kansas City, is in charge of arrangements.

Beverly Bellinger daughter of the late James Glenn and Bess (Bown) Bellinger, was born July 22, 1919 in LaPorte City. She attended schools in Iowa, California and Missouri. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1936 as Salutatorian of her class. Beverly worked as a beauty operator in West Plains, MO for seven years, then worked for the C.C. Meek Lumber Company. In 1945 she married John Wesley Cordell. They were divorced in 1960 and Beverly moved to Texas where she attended college at night and worked for Permain Servicing Company.

After 13 years in Texas and New Mexico, she returned to Missouri and worked for the Anhauser-Busch Distributor for six years before retiring in 1981. She then moved to New Hampton to live with her sister, Marjorie Lee. Beverly was a member of the Episcopal Church but had attended Trinity Lutheran Church with her sister since her retirement.

Surviving are several nephews and nieces and their children.
