Alta Vista, Iowa - Services for Christ Gebel, 72, who died Monday of a heart attack, were at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church here. The Rev. Henry Nosbisch, of Festina, a brother in law, celebrated requiem high mass, assisted by Rev. Louis Gerlemen, of North Washington, and Father Adelbert, of Alta Vista. Burial was in the cemetery at North Washington.

He was born in this area June 3, 1877 the son of Anthony and Susan Nosbisch at North Washington on June 12, 1900. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife; six sons, Ed, of Humboldt, S.D., Ray, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., Clarence, of San Diego, Calif., Gregory, of New Hampton, and Arthur and Louis, of Alta Vista; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Florence) Metter, of New Hampton, and Mrs. Jack (Helen) Bach. Of Alta Vista, and 20 grandchildren.
