Kenneth “Kenny” Lynn Kraft, age 68 of Nashua, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua, IA with Pastor Bill Nielsen officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua, Iowa, with military honors.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Ionia Funeral Home in Ionia, Iowa. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Friday. Kenneth was born in Chickasaw, Iowa on January 5, 1947. The son of John and Bertha (Janssen) Kraft. He attended Ionia schools and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1965. Following high school Kenny was in the Vietnam War. He later worked For John Deere in Waterloo until retiring in 1996. On October 31, 1996 he was united in marriage to Lorie Jean Barrett, to this union a wonderful family was united.
Throughout the years, Kenny was passionate about his coon dogs, motorcycles, classic cars, guns, never passing up a good deal and his awesome banana bread. He had a route that he’d deliver to all, but his kids always had to ask for some. He was a volunteer fireman in Ionia for more than 30 years. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards, but most of all were his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were his everything.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lorie Kraft of Nashua, IA; three sons, John Kraft of Ionia, IA, Shawn (Stephanie Speltz) Kraft of Lawler, IA, Nathan Laydon of Nashua, IA; one daughter, Dawn (James) Chavis of Nashua; eight grandchildren; brothers, Marvin (Donna) Kraft of Waverly, IA, Richard (Vera) Kraft of Clarksville, IA; sisters Beverly Winkie of Belle Plaine, IA, Helen Knapp of Charles City, IA. and several more loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lee Roy Kraft and John Merlin Kraft; sisters Ilene Kraft and Shirley Day; and grandson Chayton Anderson.
