NEW HAMPTON - Lowell Jerald Larson, 84, of rural New Hampton, died at home Saturday, June 3, 2006.
He was born Oct. 30, 1921, on the family farm near Olaf, son of Joseph and Ruth Richardson Larson. He married Eleanora Dannen on Feb. 26, 1950, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Mr. Larson attended Belmond High School, Belmond. He had been a life-long cattle and grain farmer, semi retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Kathleen Jo (Ronald) Turner and Kimberly K. (Robbie) Hilmer, both of Dysart, Deborah L. (Daniel) Fulks of Cedar Falls and Pamela R. Larson (Phillip Standiford Jr.) of Clear Lake; three sons, Gary D. (Deb) of Saude, Tony K. of New Hampton and Jeff L. (Debbie Ann) of New Hampton; 13 grandchildren, a great-grandson and three stepgrandchildren; a brother, James Russell of Kanawha; and four sisters, Marian Ernst of Belmond, Doris Shear of Kanawha, Clarice Yarger of San Diego and Joann (Cornelius) Betten of New Hampton.
Preceded in death by a grandson.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Crane Creek, with burial in Crane Creek Cemetery, both in rural Lawler. Public visitation 4 to 8 p.m. today at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
