NASHUA - Richard F. Adams, 70, of Nashua, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Salsbury Baptist Home, Charles City, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

He was born Feb. 18, 1937, on a farm near Nashua in Chickasaw County, son of Frank P. and Elnora Schultz Adams.

Mr. Adams graduated from Nashua High School in 1957. After working at a number of construction and farming jobs, he began working in construction for the Demro Brothers in Nashua, where he was employed for more than 40 years. He then worked for several more years with Leo Schultz in his concrete business, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include a brother, Jim (Kay) of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Pat Adams of Charles City.

Preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Tegtmeier.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, both in Nashua. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Nashua, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
