Funeral services for Elinor O'Connor of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Lawler were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 15 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler with Rev. Marvin Salz officiating.

Interment was in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawler. Pallbearers were: Jack Blazek, Bob Arens, Jack McKone, Mark Timlin, Steve Speltz, and Joe Speltz. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Elinor, 91, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Scottsdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Elinor O'Connor was born May 12, 1913 in Williams, the daughter of Dr. Maurice and Edna (Sullivan) O'Connor. At an early age the family moved to Lawler where her father was killed in a horse and buggy accident. Elinor was a professor at Iowa State College and taught Textiles at Arizona State.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Care Catholic Church in Scottsdale.

She enjoyed playing bridge.
