Funeral services for Arthur H. Boehmer, 87, of McIntire were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 13, 1996, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. The Rev. John Moser officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Elma with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He died Tuesday, December 10, 1996, at Stacyville Community Nursing Home of natural causes.

Arthur H. Boehmer was born February 12, 1909, in North Washington, Iowa the son of Lawrence and Clara M. Miller Boehmer.

On January 6, 1936 he was united in marriage to Rose I. Conklin in Lourdes.

Art was a farmer for many years, retiring in 1972. He farmed near Alta Vista, Elma and McIntire.

He is survived by one son, James Boehmer of Yates City, IL; one daughter, Lois Duryee of McIntire; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Robert Lee; his parents; four brothers, Frank, Andrew, Alfred and Henry; six sisters, Katherine Marvin, Eleanora Anderson, Martha Simon, Helena Power, Viola Westendorf and Lizzie Pickar.
