Margaret V. Conry, age 78, of New Hampton, Iowa died Monday, June 21, 2010 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Hampton, Iowa.
Margaret Viola Conry was born on March 21, 1932 to William and Frances (Schultz) Nelson in Charles City, Iowa. Margaret was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Charles City. She was united in marriage to Dale Conry on July 3, 1951 at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. The couple lived on the family farm near New Hampton until moving into New Hampton in 1975. Margaret was employed by Liddles Super Valu for many years. She retired from Beatrice Foods in Fredericksburg, Iowa. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Marys Center. Margaret loved to bake, and play cards. She enjoyed crafts, watching birds and wildlife; most of all, Margaret loved her family.
Margaret is survived by her children, Dianne (Dave) Mix, of Rochester, Minnesota, and Joanne (Kipp) Jones, of New Hampton; four grandchildren, Brenda Jo (Brad) Musel, Scott (Niki) Mix, Michelle (Tim) Pleggenkuhle, and Kipp William (Mandy) Jones; 14great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Marie) Nelson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Johnny (Kathy) Nelson, of Thompson, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale on December 23, 1989, one son, and three daughters in infancy; and one brother, Tom Nelson.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery at Greene, Iowa with John Nelson, Justin Shekleton, Kipp William Jones, Scott Mix, Brad Musel, Tim Pleggenkuhle, Tom Shekleton, and Nick Strand serving as casket bearers.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 4:00-8:00pm at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in New Hampton, with 6:00 pm scriptural wake service. Visitation will continue at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Holy Family Parish-St. Marys Center in New Hampton with Msgr. Carl Schmitt celebrating.
