Two Grandsons of
Waterloo Woman
Drown at Lawler

Brother from This City Finds
Clothes on Bank. Bodies
in Crane Creek.

Lyle and Gerald Marvets, 16 and 10 years old, respectively, grandsons of Mrs, Tim O'Brien, 520 Mobile Street, were drowned last night in Crane Creek, near Lawler. Ia.
There were no eyewitnesses to the tragedy but it is thought that one of the boys was seized by cramps and that the other lost his life attempting a rescue.

They are the sons of Mrs. Nell Marvets, Lawler. Orvllle, a brother, resides at 826 Franklin Street with Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Roberts, and is employed at the Rath Packing Company. He left here last night, by automobile for Lawler to bring his mother here to care for the grandmother, who is critically ill at her home.

Arriving home and learning that his brothers had gone for a swim, he went to greet them, but found only their clothes on the creek bank. He summoned help from Lawler and after two hours Lyle's body was recovered by divers from 10 feet of water. The body of the younger brother was found an hour and a half later when the creek bed was dragged with a hay rake.

The boys' father is dead.
