JACOB FREDERICI PASSES AT 80 YEARS OLD

Oscar Jacob Frederici, 80, died at his farm home Tuesday, August 31 from complications following a stroke suffered two years ago.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Chickasaw Baptist Church with Rev. Cosswell of Colwell officiating. Mrs. Winton Waite and Miss Henrietta Wolf sang, accompanied by Mrs. Gale Huffman, Mrs. Edmund Poppe, Wm. Venz, Marian Cagley, Tony Holmes, Arnold Klinehart, and Frank Watson. Burial was in Mt. Carrol Cemetery near Chickasaw.

Oscar Jacob Frederici was born January 1, 1868, son of Valentine and Thresse Frederici, at Brandford, Iowa. He married Ethel Ann Trask, February 17, 1897, and the couple spent their entire life farming in Chickasaw County, the last 38 years being spent at the farm home where he died.

He leaves his widow, two sons, Leon of Ionia, and Cecil of Sioux City, two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Tessie Troutner of New Hampton. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, parents, two brothers and one sister.
