Glen J. Rosonke, age 74, of New Hampton, died on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton.

Glen was born on March 27, 1933 to Bernard and Clara (Schwickerath) Rosonke in New Hampton, IA. He attended school in New Hampton. Glen farmed in the New Hampton area and continued to farm to the present. On December 30, 1958 Glen was united in marriage to Mary Helen Lynch at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Lawler.

Glen enjoyed playing cards, farming and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus and Foresters.

Glen is survived by his wife Mary of New Hampton; six children Dale (Linda) Rosonke of New Hampton, Charles Rosonke of New Hampton, Judy Wedeking of Plainfield, IA, Karen (Larry) Hrdlicka of Cresco, Paul (Cheryl Anderson) Rosonke of Alta Vista and Dean (Barb Kobliska) of New Hampton; 14 grandchildren; two brothers Harold (Myrtle) Rosonke of New Hampton and Jerry (Malee) Rosonke of Mansfield, South Dakota; three sisters Mildred (Quentin) Brus of Alta Vista, Lorna Gorman of New Hampton, and Leona Herold of Cresco; sister-in-law Eleanor Haldeman of New Hampton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donald, one sister Florence, brother-in-law George Herold and son-in-law Rodney Wedeking.

Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery at New Hampton with grandchildren Tyler Rosonke, Jason Hrdlicka, Brian Hrdlicka, Michelle Hrdlicka, Stacy Wedeking, Josh Anderson and Taylor Wedeking serving as casket bearers.

Visitation will be 3:00-7:00pm on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in New Hampton with a Rosary at 4:00pm and a Scriptural Wake Service at 6:00pm and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Holy Family Parish, St. Josephs Center in New Hampton with Msgr. Carl Schmitt celebrating mass.
