MRS. HANS JENSEN

Mrs. Hans Jenson passed away at her home in Bradford, Thursday, after a illness of several weeks.

Mrs. Hanson was a sufferer from a cancer and was first confined to her bed on Christmas day. Her sufferings were intense and death came to her as a relief.

The deceased was born in Ringsted, Denmark, November 28, 1839. She was united in marriage to Hans Jenson December 2, 1864, and four years later they came to America, settling in New York, and in 1870 they moved to Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where the remained until 1882, when they came West and settled in Bradford, which since has been her home ever since.

To this union eight children were born, but one died in infancy. Her husband also passed away about five years ago. The surviving children are H. L., of Philips, S. D., Peter of Carrville, Andrew of Cedar; Thorval, of Bradford; Mrs. G. E. Perrin, of Floyd; Mrs. H. C. Christensen; of Miles; and Mrs. C. B. Stocks of Nashua.

The deceased was a woman who was held in high esteem by those who knew her, and was a kind and loving wife and mother, and a good neighbor and friend.

The funeral was held at the home Saturday at 1 p.m., Rev. Sinden officiating and the remains were laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery.
