Former Postville Resident Passes On

Mrs. Regina Beckman, 80, formerly of Postville, passed away last Wednesday morning, July 1, at the Good Samaritan home in Cresco following a lingering illness since last December. The funeral was at the Methodist Church in Fredericksburg on Friday afternoon with burial in the Rose Hill cemetery at Fredericksburg.

Mrs. Regina Beckman, was the daughter of J. H. and Louisa (Wohlert) Pries, born at Hohenhorst, Holstein, Germany on March 28, 1873. She came to this country in 1884 and settled at Luana. On September 20, 1903, she was married to Henry Saueressig at New Hampton and 4 children were born to this union: Edwin Saueressig of Cloumbus, Indiana, Mrs. Joe Muchow of Castalia, Kenneth Saueressig of New Castle, Colorado and Ralph Saueressig of Fredericksburg.

On August 6, 1925 she was married to Herman Beckman and they made their home at Waverly, Nebraska. Since his death she has made her home at Fredericksburg.
