WID W NOBLE FORMER RESIDENT OF NASHUA DIES
Wid W Noble, 66, former resident of Nashua died Thursday afternoon at the New Hampton Hospital, following an operation for the removal of a tumor several days before.

Mr. Noble, who was born in Nashua, April 2, 1870, grew to manhood here. He worked in various grocery stores in Nashua, and for a time was associated in the grocery business here with Herman Moon.

In 1892 he was united in marriage to Josephine Fritcher.

To this union nine children were born, four of whom are living; Mrs. H. J. Turner of Washington, D. C.; Frank of McIntire, Iowa; Bill of Kansas City, Missouri; and Jack of Joplin, Missouri.

The five deceased are: Harold; Fred; Elsie; Robert; and Josephine.

Besides his children he is survived by six brothers; Henry of Nashua; Claude and Ben of Charles City; and Joe, Wesley and Roy; also three sisters; Mrs. Alva Jones, Charles City; Mrs. Vern Knight, Waverly, and Mrs. Eva Krueger, also three grandchildren.

Mr. Noble also traveled as a grocery salesman, and on May 6, 1924, he opened a grocery store in McIntire, Iowa, which he successfully operated until the time of his death. He was a highly respected citizen and a great aid to his community. Although not active in social life, he made many friends through his square dealings in business.

He had been ailing for a year or more and on April 30th was taken to St. Joseph Hospital at New Hampton, where he underwent an operation May 4th. Although he survived the operation as well as could be expected, with his weakened condition, the complications proved fatal, and he passed away Thursday, May 14th, at 4:40 p.m. At his bedside were his two sons, Bill and Frank.

The body was taken to McIntire, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Bodenham. Songs were sung by John Grace and Everett Siple, with Mrs. Harshbarger at the piano.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Nashua, by the side of his children.
Among those from a distance who were at McIntire for the funeral were; John Emmons; Mrs. Maude Emmons; Mrs. L. P. Coffman and daughter Bertha of Nashua; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jones; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Noble; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Noble of Charles City; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Knight; Mr. and Mrs. Baker and son, Waverly; Bill Noble of Kansas City; and Mrs. H. J. Turner and husband of Washington, D. C.
