Julius (Boomer) Roehrich, 85, died Sunday evening, April 4, at Health Care Manor. Funeral services were held 1:30pm Wednesday at Conway Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Oebser, officiating.

Interment was in the New Hampton Cemetery with nephews, Lowell, Richard, Ed, Jack and Merlin Stolfus and Bob Roehrich serving as casket bearers. Military graveside services were accorded by members of the Fae Stine American Legion Post.

Julius C. Roehrich was born July 27, 1896 at Jacksonville township in Chickasaw County, the son of Fred and Ida Roehrich. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army.

Mr Roehrich was employed by the Eclipse & Northern Lumber Yards in New Hampton and later worked for the Hughes & David Freight Line for many years before retiring.

He was a resident of Health Care Manor the last seven years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Fred and Paul, five sisters, Martha and Edith Roehrich, Anna Stolfus, Marie Campbell and Mildred Dowd.

He is survived by five brothers, Carl, Lawler, Alfred, New Hampton, William, Fort Dodge, Otto, Hazelton and Albert, Knoxville.
