Mrs. Frederick Roehrich was born in Christ Nogart, Germany on August 30, 1874 and passed away Wednesday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the age of 70 years.

Her great determination kept her up until about 12 weeks ago when she began rapidly to fail from a diabetic condition and complications.

Ida Anna Bouska, only child of Ferdinand and Ulrieka Schultz with her parents came to this county at 17 yrs of age. Her family lived in the Boyd locality where on August 5, 1892 she was married to Frederick Roehrich.

She was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran faith and in the early years of her life was a regular attendant of her church.

Thirteen children were born to this union. Three daughters: Anna, Mrs. H. Stolfus; Mary, Mrs. E. Campbell of Oelwein and Mildred, Mrs. William Dowd and seven sons: Albert, Julius, Alfred and Carl, New Hampton; Fred and Otto, Oelwein; William, Fort Dodge; and Pvt. All the children except Paul were able to attend the funeral. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from St Paul's Lutheran church, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Theo Fritchel officiated. Miss Gertrude Attleson sang two hymns during the service. "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Still, Still With Thee" were the selections.

Pall bearers were Frank Schmidt, Herman Vick, Herman Klossowsky, Dan McCarthy, Art Kress and Herman Hackman. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery beside the remains of her husband and two children.

Mrs Roehrich will be greatly missed by her children, as since her husband's death she has lived with her daughter and family, Mr and Mrs Dowd and her three sons, Julius, Albert and Alfred, who cared for her in their home during these weeks of illness, giving her all the kindness and comfort which loved ones can give.

Mr and Mrs Harry Ingalls of Minneapolis and her children and their families from Oelwein and Fort Dodge were those from away who attended the funeral.
