Clarence L. Ohm, 54, died suddenly at his home Thursday, June 2, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were held at 3 pm Monday, June 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Bernard Oebser, officiating.

Interment was in New Hampton cemetery with Gary Sweitzer, LaVern Ohm, Roman Steciw, Wayne Tenge, Reynolds Oxendine and Ralph Gauger serving as casket bearers. Graveside military services were conducted by members of the Fae Stine American Legion Post.

Conway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Lyle Ohm was born March 17, 1929, in New Hampton, the son of Albert and Anna (Kathner) Ohm. He attended schools in Chickasaw County. He served in the United States Air Force from 1948-1953 based in the Philippines. He was married to Grace Lowe and they were later divorced. He was later married to Joan Wilson Boehmer. Clarence was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked for two years with the Austin Co, during the construction of the Sara Lee facility and has been employed the last 11 years with the Kitchens of Sara Lee.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Harry and Irvin.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, three sons, Gary, at home, Ken, New Port Richey, Fla, and Dale, Wellston, Ohio, three daughters, Jacki, at home, Patricia, and Barbara, both of Wellston, Ohio, two stepsons Randy Boehmer and Rick Boehmer, both at home, two step-daughters, Mrs Jerry (Sue) Brincks, New Hampton, and Mrs Ken (Sharyl) Sowes, Waterloo, 10 grandchildren, his mother, Anna Ohm, New Hampton and two brothers, Clifford and Robert, both of Lawler.
