Takes His Own Life

Henry Koethner

The community was shocked last Thursday when the news spread that Henry Koethner, living near Boyd, had taken his own life by poison. No excuse for the same except the possibility of insanity is given for this rash act.

The deceased by born February 27, 1859 in Posen, Germany. He served in the German army. On Sept 4, 1887 he was married to Miss Minnie Pankonin.

Seven children were born to bless their home. Two of them have preceded their father to the grave. Those living are: Mrs Albert Reiben, Chicago; William, at home; Mrs Anna Ohm, of Boyd; and Olga and Minnie at home.

The funeral was held from the home Sunday at 2pm, conducted by Rev. Cave. Burial in Graceland cemetery.
