Friday Rites for Mrs. Marie Weitenhagen

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Weitenhagen, 83, of Fredericksburg, who died at 2:45 pm, Monday, Oct 9 at Sunrise Guest Home of complications of advanced age, will be held at 2pm Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Fredericksburg.

The Rev. Edgar Croll of Fayette will officate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Fredericksburg. The Chenoweth funeral home will have charge of arrangements.

Music will be by Melvin Mattke, soloist, and Mark Wenthe, organist. Mmes. James Hale and Herbert Drape will be in charge of the flowers.

Casket bearers will be Alton Snider, Carl Kammeyer, Alvin Gitch, Edward Dedor, Earl Gitch and Lester Kalkbrenner.

Marie Kammeyer Weitenhagen was born at Lace in DuPage County, Illinois, on Feb 7, 1884, the daughter of Frederick and Dorothea Weidler Kammeyer. She resided there until she was three years of age when she came to Boyd with her parents. On June 18, 1912, she married Frank Weitenhagen of Fredericksburg.

Surviving are her husband, Frank; two children, Harold of Waterloo and Loretta Downes of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Fred Kammeyer of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs Ted Kolzow of Hinsdale, Ill. and Mrs Ed Pantke of Western Springs, Illinois.
