Keith; I don't have much but my Theodore Kruse was my great great grandfather. His daughter Wilhelmina Johanna Friederika Kruse was my great grandmother. Following is what I have on them.
Wilhelmina married Jurgen Stolley 17 Sept. 1873 in Cook County Ill (Chicago) They had 6 children the 1st 2 were born in Chicago the other 4 were born near Granville Iowa (NW Iowa) They had to come to Iowa between Feb 1876 and Jan 1879 acording to the birth dates of child 2 and 3.
A lady named Cathy Gordon sent the following information to Tim Grauer who then sent it to me. December 2002
Finally found out info on Wilhelmina. She was from Gross Teetzleben in the Kreis of Demmin in Pommerania. (GrossTeetzleben, Altentreptow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) It is part of Germany in Mecklenburg state. Northern Germany, may even be part of Poland today.
Her sister was Friederika 2 years younger than her. Wilhelmina's father was Theador born in 1822. Wilhelmina's mother
might have died before the two girls and the father came over on the Silesia in 1872 since she did not accompany them on the boat.
Friederika married Hans Rohlfsen. They are buried next to Jurgen and Wilhelmina in the Remsen Iowa cemetary.I have nothing more on Theador. Do you have more?
Arlene
