Funeral services for Huldah O.
Miles, of Cherokee were held here
Monday afternoon, December 15, at
the Latter Day Saints church, with
Elder A. R. Crippen in charge, mu-
sic was furnished by Mrs. Irvie
Hahn, Mrs. Bessie Hoeppner and
Mrs. Buster Brown.
Pallbearers were John Julius,
Claude Jans, Alfred Ballantyne,
George Shove, Frank Shove and
Floyd Shove.
Internment was in Oak Hill ceme-
tery with The Boothby Funeral
home in charge of the service.
Hulda O. Miles (nee Barnes) was
born in Fayette county, Wisconsin,
May 4, 1875, and passed from this
earthly life, Saturday morning, De-
cember 13, 1941, at 3:30 a. m. at
the age of 66 years, seven months
and nine days. Mrs. Miles has
been failing in health the last two
years. She passed away at the
home of her son, Roy Miles.
On September 5, 1896, she was
united in marriage with Zara A.
Miles, and to this union were born
10 children, five girls and five
boys. They are---Flora Miles, de-
ceased; Grace Haynes, deceased;
Mrs. Bessie Bonsall of Cherokee,
Ia.; Mrs Nellie Lingard, Vail, Ia. Al-
bert Miles, Henry, Nebr.; James
Miles, Cherokee, Ia.; Myrtle White,
Cherokee, Walter Miles, Cherokee;
Roy Miles, Cherokee and Fred
Miles, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
She leaves to mourn her passing;
8 children, 25 grandchildren; and a
large number of other relatives,
friends and neighbors, all of whim
will miss her.
She was member of The Reor-
ganized Church of Latter Day
Saints, having been baptized and
confirmed in 1917.
