James Lloyd Miles (hand written - 1956)
James Lloyd Miles, 51, died at
5:30 p.m. sunday, December 2 at
his home at 612 West Beech
Street.
For several yers he had been
employed at Chieftain Feeds and
prior to that by Illionios Central
Railroad.
Surviving him are his wife,
Viola May; six sons, William,
Robert, Clarence Daniel, Harold
Dean, Vernon Allen and Michael
Lee: one daughter, Mary Lou, all
at home. Two sisters, Mrs Kay
White and Mrs. Walter Lindaard,
both of Lamoni and four broth-
ers, William Albert, Roy
McKinley and Fred Donald, all of
Cherokee and Walter Miles of
Larrabee are other survivors.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, December 5 at 2 p.m.
from Boothby Funeral Home. The
Rev. Robert Lehn officiated with burial
in the Oak Hill Cemetery.(found at Cherokee County Archives)
