Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23rd, from the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.Corinne was born on May 27, 1905, at Linn Grove, Iowa to Oliver & Emma (Peterson)Knudson. She graduated from Linn Grove High School in 1923 and then from the University of Iowa in 1927 with a Degree in Elementary Education. She was married to Lyle C. Maxwell on February 15, 1935, at her parents' home near Linn Grove, Iowa. She and her husband owned and operated Maxwell Accounting Services in Cherokee for 30 years retiring in 1974. She was a longtime member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church and Church Circle. She was a member of P.E.O. She had been a resident of Cherokee the past 54 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle on May 17, 1999, 1 brother Sever Knudson, 2 sisters Clara Knudson and Beda Meyer.
She is survived by her twin sons: Robert Maxwell and his wife Carol of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Steven Maxwell and his wife Jerrilyn of Dubuque, Iowa; 2 grandsons: Tim Maxwell and his wife Kelly of Germany; Todd Maxwell of Chicago, Illinois; 2 great grandchildren William and Meaghan Maxwell; 3 sisters: Bernice Budolfson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Evelyn Carringer of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; Wilma Budolfson of St. Paul, Minnesota.
