Mrs. Dale (Jane) Wilmot, 59, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Saturday, May 18, 1996 in the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee.

Mrs. Wilmot was born on August 6, 1936 at Cherokee, to John W. and Mildred E. (Bell) Peterson. She was married to Dale Wilmot on August 10, 1952 at Cherokee. She had worked as a ward attendant at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute for 13 years. She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Cherokee. She had been a resident of Cherokee all her life.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; one son, Rob and his wife Diane, Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Lori and her husband Ron Grant, Omaha; four grandchildren: Kevin, Kameron and Katie Grant; and Isaac Wilmot; one sister, Joyce and her husband Kenneth Gould, Winfield, Kansas; and one brother, Marvin Peterson and his wife, Carol, Aurelia, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
